• The Bible is infallible Word of God
• Jesus paid the wages of sin for the world when He died on the cross and made salvation available to all
• A person is saved from sin by Grace through Faith
• Christian faith compels and demand action to spread the Gospel good News about salvation
• Christian Faith is demonstrated by action. Christians are compelled to action to emulate Jesus, who went about doing good.

A MESSAGE FROM THE
CEO/PRESIDENT

I was moved to my very soul as I observed children in the public market place in Lucea Hanover, Jamaica in virtual tears as the elderly shoe repair man (cobbler) sadly told them on that rainy Saturday afternoon that their shoes were not ready to be picked-up that day for the first day of school in January, after the Christmas break. I watched the shoe repairman carefully doubled and redoubled the thread he was using to repair the shoes. I promised him that I would bring him some ‘real’ cobbler’s thread on my next return from the United States to Lucea. Little did I know that the following April I would be back in Lucea, six months earlier than I had expected. The shoe repairman could hardly believe his eyes when I presented him with two large reels of commercial quality cobbler’s thread. He promised that he would not charge school children the full price for repairing their shoes. I believe that he is keeping his promise. I asked myself that day: Why don’t you find a way of expanding assistance to needy people in Jamaica to respond to both physical and Spiritual needs; and Why not try to assist them in achieving ‘some level of’ independence or sustainability? Thus, the idea of starting Evangelism. By Grace International was etched in my mind. I was further inspired by the fact “…He (Jesus) who went about doing good (Acts 10: 38, KJV); and by the teaching of Paul to the Philippians “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplications, with thanksgiving, let your request be made known unto God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians4: 6-7, NKJV). Evangelism By grace International wants to emulate Jesus Christ by going about meeting the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbor and trusting in God as Paul taught the Philippians and teaches us today. I shared my vision and desire with a few trusted friends and colleagues and they came onboard right away and so a small idea has been transmuted to a Ministry.

Initiatives of Evangelism By Grace International Food, Clothing and shoes for the truly needed

• We provide practical and life-skills training to our target individuals who may benefit from training for preparation for employment or for self-employment in areas such as urban and rural gardening, value-added agricultural products, practical accounting, marketing of agricultural products, small scale agriculture production, and so forth
• We provide training in community assessment and development
• We provide training in youth development and leadership development
• We provide mentoring and tutoring to school children
• We provide training in negotiation and conflict resolution
• We provide training in reading comprehension, critical thinking and decision making
• We provide training and experiential learning opportunities in craft areas such as shoe repairs, carpentry, computers and others as needs are determined and training is feasible
• We provide religious education as feasible and assist in spiritual understanding and growth
• We strive to empower individuals to achieve economic independence and sustainability and wholeness”

Worship

We believe that there is only one God, who is a Spirit and who created the earth and human beings, and that those who worship God must worship in Spirit and in Truth. We believe that God is all powerful with infinite wisdom and that the Word of God is infallible, authoritative, and provides instructions for living and for proper relationships with God and with one another. We (Evangelism by Grace International) strive to submit our work to the Control and Will of The All Mighty God and worship God with our thoughts, words and deeds. While we set aside one day to attend worship services, we believe that we should worship God everyday by right thoughts, words and work/behavior.
